Al has been an Orthopedic Physiotherapist/ Physical Therapist for 19 years. He is the owner of PhysioEdge Physical Therapy. He received his Undergraduate studies in Bachelors of Business Administration from Georgia State University and continued to received both Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy and Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Armstrong Atlantic State University. His advance training and extensive continuing education courses taken nationally and internationally are in Manual/Manipulative Therapy, Sportsmedicine, and Movement Science including Selective Functional Movement Assessment(SFMA) and Functional Movement Screen (FMS). He has a Post-Graduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Manipulative/Manual Therapy from Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia and a Sports Physical Therapy Certification from both North American SportsMedicine Institute and University of St. Augustine. Aside from being committed in life long learning for our industry and treating patients locally, he serves as an Instructor/Faculty for the Functional Dry Needling and Functional Therapeutic Application Courses for Kinetacore/Evidence in Motion in United States and Canada. He is also a Certified First Responder. He is a credentialed APTA Clinical Instructor and an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), both the Orthopedic and Sports Therapy Section, the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia(PTAG) and also with the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists (AAOMPT). Jessie Sharp, PT, DPT, CAPP
From the age of nine, Jessie knew she wanted to be a physical therapist after her father was injured in an industrial accident. After returning from his first day of physical therapy, he was able to focus on the positive aspects of his treatment and the ultimate functional gains his therapy would provide. Having never stepped foot in a physical therapy clinic Jessie knew one day she would be a physical therapist and her family's experience was the foundation of inspiration and support of her in her professional dreams. Jessie has been involved in physical therapy healthcare for 10 years and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology from Southern Utah University. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, CO in 2008 while conducting research for foot and ankle disorders. Jessie has focused her advanced training in orthopedic physical therapist for the past three years. She is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and Selective Functional Movement Assessments. She focuses on orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine. She has also developed the Women’s Health program for PhysioEdge Physical Therapy. Jessie has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) on the national level for 5 years, both in the Orthopedic and in the Women’s Health Sections as well as a member of local state Physical Therapy Associations of both Colorado and Georgia. She has attended local and national conferences for the profession and has performed community education and physical therapy services pro bono. Jessie is married to Steven Martin and moved to the Atlanta area in 2010. She enjoys motorcycles, hiking and running with their dogs Rizzo and Libby, road bicycling, cars and traveling.
Jessica N Grussemeyer, PT, DPT
Jessica has been a licensed physical therapist since 2010. She received her Bachelor of Science as well as her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Florida. While at the university she was heavily involved in research concerning the biopsychosocial aspects of pain and received the Dean’s Scholar Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis. She also worked at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas as a research assistant investigating the prevention of low back pain in the military and has been credited in numerous articles involving this topic. Since 2004 she has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and belongs to both the Research and Sports sections. She has obtained advanced training in the practice of Functional Dry Needling and is working towards her Maitland manual therapy certification. She currently lives in Marietta with her husband Chad and enjoys cycling, cooking, playing pool, and hanging out with their dog, Barrett and cat, Busty.
Zachary Dunkle, PT, DPT, OCS, CPPS
Zac is a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist, who took a unique path to becoming at physical therapist. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Zac served as a Scout Sniper and Reconnaissance Marine. After leaving the Marine Corps, he attended the Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. While at Penn State, Zac assisted lead researchers in the Neuromotion laboratory investigating gait changes following ACL ruptures. After graduating from Emory University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, he completed an orthopedic residency through Emory University. In addition to being an orthopedic physical therapist, he is a Certified Physical Preparation Specialist who uses unconventional training methods to enhance athletic performance. Along with being a practicing physical therapist, Zac currently teaches within both the Doctor of Physical Therapy and orthopedic residency programs at Emory University. Professionally, Zac is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the GA Physical Therapy Association. Zac currently resides in Sandy Springs with his wife, Erin and two dogs, Ayla and Kevin
Taylor Lindsey Bruin, PT, DPT
Taylor became interested in physical therapy at a young age. As a tennis player, she had several injuries growing up and spent a lot of time in physical therapy. After spending time recovering from injuries of her own, she felt that it would be a rewarding career to help others in the same way. She went on to play tennis at the University of Alabama where she served as captain her senior year and got her degree in Exercise Science. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and got her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. After graduating, she worked in an outpatient clinic in Jackson Hole, WY with a focus on orthopedics and sports medicine. She has advanced training in Functional Dry Needling and has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2013. While living in Jackson Hole, Taylor met her husband, Chris, and they got married and moved to Atlanta in 2017. In addition to being a physical therapist, Taylor coaches tennis at ATI in Marietta. She enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, traveling, and doing all things outdoors. She lives in Roswell with her husband, Chris and yellow lab, Fisher.
Sherry performs insurance and patient billing functions and has been with PhysioEdge since May 2009. She is the owner of Atlanta Medical Solutions billing company established in 1993. She has 19 years of billing/coding experience specializing in Physical Therapy and Workers’ Compensation and is certified in computer programming.
Sherry is married to Don and has 2 children, Emily and Kara. She enjoys following college football (Bama), exercising, gardening and spending time with family.
